What is the reverse of a number according to the symbol.The reverse of 2 is -2.So that when 2 is added to -2, the answer is 0.

Generally a is the reverse of -a.

So that:-     -a is opposite of a

Therefore:-          -a+a=0

what is the meaning of this?

It means,  negative of -a equal a.

-(-a)=a

प्रतिक के अनुसार किसी संख्या  का उल्टा क्या होता है।2 का उल्टा -2 होता है।ताकि जब 2 को -2 से जोड़ा जाए तो उत्तर 0 आये।

साधारणतया a,-aका उल्टा होता है।ताकि:-

                                -a+a=0

इसका मतलब क्या होता है?इसका मतलब-a का ऋणात्मक a के बराबर है।

-(-a)=a

(-a)×(-b) +(-a)×b=0        .................say (1)

How??

(-a)×(-b) +(-a)×b

=   (-a){-b+b}

=   (-a){0}

=    0=RHS

rearranging (1)..

 (-a)×(-b)= -(-a)×b .......(2)

Similarly,,

(-a)×(-b) +a×(-b)=0   ...................say(3)

But how?

(-a)×(-b) +a×(-b)

  =   (-b){-a+a}

  =(-b){0}

  =0=RHS

rearranging (3)..

 (-a)×(-b)= -a×(-b) .......(4)

Now from (2)  and  (4) by equating RHS I got,,,

             -(-a)×b=  - a×(-b)

  from beginning    -(-a) = a

           =   a×b = - a× - b  Proved
